Rental

Can I rent without a verified account?

No. Rental is reserved for customers with a validated account.

Can private customers rent?

Yes, depending on the drone, verification level, insurance provided and deposit required.

Can companies rent?

Yes. Companies can rent after KYB verification. Pilot details, company insurance and mission documents may be requested.

Which rental durations are available?

1 day, 3 days, weekend, week and long-term rental on request.

Can I rent long term?

Yes. Long-term rentals are available on request for businesses, administrations, training, field testing, inspections and recurring projects.

Verification

Why is verification mandatory?

Rented drones can have high value and be used in sensitive contexts. Verification protects the equipment and matches drones to the right customer profile.

What is the difference between KYC and KYB?

KYC verifies an individual. KYB verifies a company or organisation.

Which documents may be requested?

Identity or company details, UAS operator number, pilot certificate, drone civil liability insurance, country of use and acceptance of rental terms.

Does a validated account give access to every drone?

No. Enterprise, thermal, heavy or payload-equipped drones may require a higher validation level.

Insurance and authorisations

Is insurance mandatory?

Yes. Valid drone insurance may be required according to the drone, use and country of operation.

Does Power Drone insurance cover my flight?

No. Power Drone rents equipment. The customer remains responsible for the operation, insurance and authorisations.

Does renting a drone authorise me to fly?

No. A rental never constitutes a flight authorisation. You must check local rules, geozones, restrictions and training requirements.

Do I need a UAS operator number or pilot certificate?

It may be required depending on the drone, country and intended use.

Price, payment and deposit

Are prices shown excluding or including VAT?

Prices may be shown excluding VAT for professional customers. The final applicable VAT is calculated at checkout according to the customer profile.

What does the rental price include?

The rental of the selected drone or kit for the chosen duration. Delivery, return and deposit may be shown or requested separately.

Why is a deposit required?

The deposit is a partial guarantee during the rental and may cover delay, incomplete return, missing accessories or damage.

When is the deposit released?

After the equipment has been returned, opened, fully inspected and validated as compliant.

Does the deposit limit my responsibility?

No. The deposit is a partial guarantee and does not limit liability in case of crash, loss, theft, fly-away or damage exceeding the deposit.

Delivery and return

Can I pick up the drone in Luxembourg?

Yes. Pickup in Luxembourg is possible and recommended for short rentals or sensitive equipment.

Is delivery available?

Yes, after validation and depending on country, equipment, weight, duration and transport conditions across Benelux, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Is the return prepaid?

When the rental is shipped, a prepaid return label is generally supplied.

Can I choose my own carrier?

No, unless specifically agreed. Power Drone provides the planned transport method to secure tracking and return.

What if the parcel arrives damaged?

Take photos immediately, keep the packaging and contact Power Drone before using the equipment.

Equipment and accessories

Is the drone ready to use?

Yes. The drone, accessories, batteries, controller, cables and case are checked before departure.

Are batteries charged?

The equipment is prepared for use. Battery charge and return instructions may vary according to the handover or transport method.

Can I add extra batteries?

Yes, when compatible and available. Extra batteries are options linked to a main rental.

Can I rent only a battery or accessory?

No. Accessories are offered as options linked to a main rental and are not self-service standalone rentals.

Can I add a speaker, spotlight or payload?

Yes, depending on compatibility, availability and validation level. Professional payloads require specific approval.

Damage and responsibility

What happens if the drone comes back damaged?

Repair, replacement or handling costs may be deducted from the deposit or invoiced separately if the cost exceeds the deposit.

What happens in case of crash?

The customer must inform Power Drone immediately. The drone must not be reused without approval.

What if an accessory is missing?

Missing batteries, cables, chargers, cards, propellers or modules may be deducted from the deposit or invoiced separately.

What happens if I return the drone late?

A late return may trigger an additional day or specific fees, especially if another rental is blocked.

What if the drone is lost or stolen?

The customer is responsible for the rented equipment during the full rental period. Replacement value may be charged.

Professional requests

Can I rent a DJI Matrice 400 RTK?

Yes, with enhanced validation. Availability depends on profile, insurance, country of use, mission and accessories.

Can I rent a Zenmuse camera or professional payload?

Yes, subject to compatibility, availability and validation. Professional payloads are not rented as standalone self-service items.

Can administrations and public organisations rent?

Yes. Administrations, public bodies, engineering firms, inspection companies, agencies and professional operators can submit a specific request.

Can I request a custom configuration?

Yes. For technical missions, inspection, thermography, mapping, security, training or field tests, contact Power Drone before booking.

Is Switzerland available?

Yes, after specific validation depending on equipment, value, transport conditions and customer profile.
