Verification & insurance
Verification, insurance and documents before rental.
To rent a drone with Power Drone, your account must be validated before the booking is confirmed. This protects the equipment, secures the rental and opens access to the drones that match your profile.
Private customer KYC
Identity verification for private customers.
Business KYB
Company verification for professional customers, organisations and administrations.
Drone insurance
A valid insurance policy may be required according to the equipment and use.
Progressive access
Some drones require a higher validation level before rental.
Why this step exists
The drones offered for rent can have high value and may be used for inspection, imaging, thermal, mapping or professional missions. Verification protects both the customer and the equipment.
We validate the profile
Private or business: the customer profile must be identified and approved before a drone can be rented.
We check the documents
Depending on the drone, we may request insurance, a UAS operator number or a pilot certificate.
We open access
Once validated, your account can rent the equipment that matches your verification level.
Documents we may request
Not every document is required for every drone. A compact creative drone does not require the same level of review as an Enterprise, thermal or payload-equipped drone.
Identity or company verification
KYC for individuals, KYB for companies and organisations.
UAS operator number
Requested when relevant for the equipment and country of use.
Pilot certificate
A1/A3, A2, STS or equivalent depending on the use case.
Insurance
Civil liability drone insurance covering the real operator and country of use.
Rental acceptance
Acceptance of the rental and responsibility terms before confirmation.
Private or business customers
The process adapts to your situation. The objective is not to make rental heavy; it is to validate the essentials once and make the next bookings smoother.
Private customer
A private customer completes identity verification. Depending on the drone, insurance, UAS operator number and pilot certificate may also be required.
Business customer
A business customer completes company verification. Depending on the equipment, we may also request pilot details, company insurance and operation-related documents.
Validation levels
Not every drone is accessible with the same account level.
Level 1 — Light rental
Compact or creative drones, subject to availability, deposit and customer profile.
Level 2 — Standard rental
Photo, video or versatile drones with adapted documents and insurance.
Level 3 — Professional rental
Enterprise, thermal, inspection or mapping drones with enhanced verification.
Level 4 — Manual approval
Heavy drones, expensive payloads, long durations or specific missions.
Insurance is mandatory
The rental of equipment does not automatically cover your flight operation. You must have insurance adapted to your profile, country of use and mission type. For some drones, enhanced insurance or manual validation may be requested.
Verification does not replace flight authorisations
Your account validation allows you to rent equipment. It is not a flight authorisation. You remain responsible for checking local rules, geozones, restrictions, permits, insurance and training before each mission.
Frequently asked questions
Before submitting your documents.
Can I rent without verification?
No. No drone can be rented without a validated account.
Is verification required for every rental?
Not always. The goal is to validate your account once. A new check may be required if a document expires or if you request more sensitive equipment.
Which documents are mandatory?
It depends on the drone, customer profile and intended use. Identity or business verification is mandatory. Insurance, UAS operator number and pilot certificate may also be requested.
Can a company rent for an employee or contractor pilot?
Yes, but pilot or responsible-person details may be requested depending on the equipment and mission.
Does Power Drone insurance cover my flight?
No. Power Drone rents equipment. The customer remains responsible for the flight operation, insurance, authorisations and applicable rules.
